ABBY LYNNE

Abby is painter based in the blue ridge mountains. She earned her BA in Visual and Cultural arts concentrating in Art History from Appalachian State University with a minor in Psychology in 2016. On her days off you can find her nose in at least 3 books at one time, exploring the outdoors, trying to make her garden grow, or scream singing to music (literally all genres)! The largest influence in her work has been the healing and love she has found in growing a family consisting of one amazing partner, two spunky kids, and three docile kitties. Her passion is to bring out the glimmers in an average life onto the canvas. Having a PTSD diagnosis has not made the mental aspect of living breezy, and finding micro-moments that are the opposite of triggers to share with others is her life’s mission.

“I believe that life is made from all the messiness happening in the day to day, and we are more than just the pretty painting…we are the palettes too. That is what I offer in my work: the pretty picture, AND the raw fabric of life.”
