THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!

ABBY LYNNE IS

a painter based in the blue ridge mountains. She earned her BA in Visual and Cultural arts concentrating in art history from Appalachian state university with a minor in psychology in 2016. Since then she has built a successful online business selling her paintings and prints. She is also a live event painter and loves to perform and meet others through art.

Aside from her lifelong passion for the arts, Abby is very in love with her family which consists of a super rad partner, two precious young children, and a fat cat who has no boundaries. On her days off you can find her nose in at least 3 books at one time, exploring the outdoors, traveling, or scream singing to music (live or in the shower - she isn’t picky)!

Her visual culture degree inspired a love for nostalgic objects, which you can see on her signature florals on vinyl records she sources locally from thrift stores. She loves bold color schemes and a central theme in all her paintings is nature and organic elements. Abby claims, “I find that when art mimics nature, we find our truth. The art becomes a bridge from reality and invites a viewer to see things from a different perspective.”

“I believe that life is made from all the messiness happening in the day to day, and we are more than just the pretty painting…we are the palettes too. That is what I offer in my work: the pretty picture, AND the raw fabric of life.”
