Rose Moss Designs: Anna Moss
HERE WITH THE FLOWER POWER YOU CRAVE!
Anyone who has been following me for a while knows the scoop: I love me some Rose Moss Designs in a BIG way! Well I am proud to announce, Anna (owner of rose Moss) is my first OFFICIAL ‘collaborator of the month’ Here at Abby Lynne Art! She has a way of capturing the essence of nature by not controlling flowers to fit her vision, but letting them maintain their natural integrity.
She is a Momma of soon to be 2, wife to one lucky guy, and is blessed with an eye for design!
Of course I had to interview her with the cutest pictures to accompany this Avante Garde Floral Designer. If you’re wanting to know the recipe for Anna’s ethereal designs read on:
What is your biggest inspiration?
Biggest inspo would be color palettes - they are so fun to find/design and then figure out how to design florals keeping that color scheme in mind.
How did you get into floral design?
I found myself obsessed with flowers - I just noticed them one day and couldn’t get enough. I started learning the names of them and after graduating with my masters (thinking I’d go in to business working in marketing 🤣) I knew I never wanted to work in an office setting. I finally realized - this is possible - I don’t need to hold myself back worried about my student loans - just gotta follow the dream.
What do you aim for in your designs?
Organic natural design - without looking messy - when stuff looks messy or weed like I get turned off - there has to be some refined-ness to it.
What is your go to music/netflix show to inspire you while you work in your studio?
I can’t get enough of the podcast “my favorite murder” it’s been on for several years so I have yet to complete the series and new episodes come out Mondays and Thursdays.
Here is a quick FAQ for anyone interested in Anna’s dried work that can be done remotely:
-Do you ship internationally, or just the United States?
Just US for now
-Do you ship dried bouquets, and other floral designs for weddings?
I ship bouquets, bouts, single stems, crowns, corsages, combs, barrettes, and some built items, like clouds - arrangements (since I have such an organic feel to my designs) are difficult to ship without them losing their shape, quality
-Would you be willing to floral design a whole wedding in dried flowers, and ship it?
Yes but within some limitations. Like above - the arrangements are just too delicate to ship. Bouquets and all personal floral wouldn’t be an issue to ship. I do travel for weddings - fresh or dried. I have a travel fee and need a place (maybe an air bnb) to set up shop and design. I’ve got a vehicle to travel and deliver but I also have experience renting and driving big refrigerated uhauls - so if you want Rose Moss - you got her!
