submit your cat to be painted!
This is a trial run of an idea I had for the installation in my local coffee shop.
There are 12 16x20 inch cats in the coffee shop being displayed. As one sells, I will need to replace it with a new cat! Because they will be featured in the space for a while I wanted to make them more accessible for my audience of cat lovers!
Two options:
Submit a deposit and then email inspirational cat photos (the sillier the better) to abbylynneart@gmail.com - Your cat will definitely be painted to go on the wall, and the deposit will go toward the final cost if you choose to buy the entire painting once it’s finished.
I want to be able to keep my installation fresh and the art rotating in there, so I will only have 2-3 deposit entries at a time just in case the final products aren’t purchased- it will leave room for the people choosing the second option:
2. You can commit to the final piece upfront and fill out a form on the commission tab of my website. I can set you up with a payment plan if needed
upon completion of the painting for either option, the cat will need to be displayed for a few months in the coffee shop. These are not traditional pet portraits, they are studies of your cats- the silly things they do, the way they feel, the inner secret dreams they long for etc. I will consult you if I feel it is needed for the piece, but otherwise I want full trust and artistic liberties with these portraits. You are submitting your cat to be a part of a larger body of work that has a clear goal <3
